SACO — Diana Mae “Mimi” LaBranche, 71, of Saco, died on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 from complications of pancreatic cancer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and her faithful dog, Cujo.

She was born in Portland on March 15, 1943. She was the adopted daughter of the late Mark and Bernice Timmons of Cornish.

She attended Portland schools and graduated from Portland High School. After graduating, she worked at various clerical jobs including Fairchild Semiconductor.

She married Normand LaBranche on July 7, 1972 in Portland.

Diana had an incredible amount of empathy and love for all children, and spent her entire life caring for her children, grandchildren and the children of her large extended family. She was known as “Mimi” to all of those who loved her. She loved playing beano and also loved her many beano friends as if they were family.

She is survived by: her husband of 41 years, Normand; her sons, Gary Underwood and Greg Underwood; her grandsons, Christopher Underwood, Douglas Underwood and Samuel Underwood; and granddaughter, Victoria Underwood; as well as her large extended family.
