SACO — Raymond A. Drouin, 66, of Saco, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Raymond was born on Sept. 7, 1947 in Lowell, Mass., a son of George and Marie (Fonseca) Drouin.
After high school, Raymond joined the United States Army and served in Germany.
He was employed for many years as a machinist while living in Massachusetts, and moved to Maine with his family in 1980. He worked as a carpenter until his retirement.
Raymond enjoyed hunting and fishing as a younger man, and later in his life, he liked photography and cameras. He had a great love of family and would do anything for them.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, George.
He is survived by: his wife, Sheila (Estabrook) Drouin of Saco; and his children, Jason Drouin of Hollis and Melissa Laverdiere and her husband Tracy of Virginia Beach, Va.; and one brother-in-law, Duane Estabrook.
He also leaves behind: two sisters, Linda Szabo and Elaine Drouin, both of Massachusetts; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
