FREEPORT — Celebrate Cinco de Mayo early this year on Saturday with the It’s Five O’clock Somewhere 5K run/walk through Freeport.
The event will be followed by an after-race party and award ceremony at Gritty’s Brew Pub in Freeport.
Race registration fee of $25 includes one beverage in a keepsake commemorative pint glass for the first 300 registered.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland’s Women Build Project located on West Street in Freeport.
Prizes will be awarded to the top-three male and female finishers overall, as well as top three in each age category.
The band will begin playing at 5:45 p.m., and the awards will be given at 6:30 p.m.
Packet pick-up and sameday registration opens at 3 p.m. on the grass of the Memorial Park on Bow Street.
