SACO — Paul Andrew Chabot, a resident of Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco, died peacefully on April 19, 2014, at the age of 73.

He was born in Biddeford on Sept. 16, 1940, the first son of Paul E. and Blanche (Bouffard) Chabot.

He attended St. Joseph’s School.

He married Madeleine Poisson at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford on June 25, 1966.

He worked at Waterbury Co. until he left due to a disability.

Paul was an old time movie buff, knowing all the actors and movies made in the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s. He loved family barbecues and holiday dinners. He was an honorable man who shared lifelong lessons with those willing to see and hear.

He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife of 34 years in 2000; and one sister, Priscilla Armstrong.

He is survived by: two sons, John Chabot of Biddeford and Kevin Chabot of Kennebunk; five sisters, Patricia Rondeau and her husband Roger of Montville, Conn., Helen Nadeau and her husband Ronald of Sarasota, Fla., Diane Saucier and her husband James and Claire Paul and her husband Anthony, all of Biddeford, and Donna Mattola and her husband Steven of Saco; four brothers, Robert Chabot and his wife Celeste of Biddeford, Steven Chabot and his wife Carol of Saco, Mark Chabot of Dayton and Donald Chabot and his wife Marie of Waterboro; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Seal Rock Healthcare for their dedication and stewardship while Paul resided at the facility and during his brief illness.
