BRUNSWICK — The Mt. Ararat Middle School eighth-grade baseball team played its first game on Tuesday versus Brunswick Junior High School and won 17-0.
Michael Rogers started the game on the mound for the Eagles and had five strikeouts in three innings. Gideon Wheeler came in to pitch in the fourth inning and had a strikeout in two innings.
Kyle Brennan, Garrett Moody, Cole Bryant, Ricky Mann, Blair Kopp and Gideon Wheeler all had singles, while Ryan Mello and Nate Leslie each doubled.
Nick Merrill and Sam Alexander played well defensively.
