Christopher Klein, author of “Strong Boy: The Life and Times of John L. Sullivan,” will read excerpts from his book and share stories about the legendary Irish-American heavyweight champion. The son of Irish famine emigrants, Sullivan reigned as boxing’s world heavyweight champion from 1882 to 1892. Klein will recount the boxer’s trips to Maine and share photos of Sullivan.
