The Polar Bear men finished with 32 points in eighth-place overall, while the women posted 33 points to take 10th place.
Bowdoin’s4x800squadof Christian Sleeper, James Boeding, Coby Horowitz and Jacob Ellis posted a schoolrecord time of 7:39.42 to dominate the field by more than five seconds.
Other top showings on the men’s side included Sam Seekins’ second-place finish in the 5,000 meters (14:47.95), along with Kevin Hoose (9:15.03) and James Boeding (9:26.54) finishing two-three in the 3,000 steeplechase.
Thewomen’s4x800relay almost completed the sweep for Bowdoin, recording a runner-up showing in 9:21.14 by Addison Carvajal, Camille Wasinger, Meghan Bellerose and Demi Feder.
Katharine Krupp was second in the triple jump (38- 00), while Erin Silva took third in the pole vault put with a height of 12-03.25.
Tennis
The men’s and women’s tennis teams both earned bids to the NCAA Division III Tournament in selections announced on Monday.
The Polar Bear women (14-6), ranked seventh in the ITA Division III rankings, have earned a first-round bye and will host a regional at Pickard Courts this weekend. Bowdoin will play host to the six-team regional and will meet the winner of Friday’s first-round match between Wilkes (18-2) and Bridgewater State (16-1).
The Bowdoin men (11-9), ranked 16th in the latest Division III poll, have also earned a first-round bye and will compete in a regional hosted by Amherst College this coming weekend. The Polar Bears will play Saturday against the winner of Friday’s first-round match between MIT (13-5) and Nichols (21-1).
NESCAC Champion Amherst (31-3) will play the winner of Stevens (13-11) and Southern Maine (14-3) on Saturday.
Saturday’s second round winners will play in the regional final on Sunday.
Baseball
Bowdoin closed out its season with a 2-0 loss Sunday to St. Joseph’s College.
Bowdoin (18-16) took the loss despite a great pitching effort from Henry Van Zant, who allowed just six hits and no earned runs while striking out six batters.
Lincoln Sanborn was outstanding for the 23-15 Monks, striking out seven batters over seven innings of work to collect the victory.
Sam Canales and Kyle LeBlanc (two doubles) had multi-hit days for the Polar Bears.
