KENNEBUNK — Carol Sue du Bois was called to be with our Heavenly Father, after many years of living with cancer, on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

Born on April 10, 1959, she was a native of Biddeford and taught for more than 25 years in local schools. Most of those years were spent teaching at St. James School. Her love of teaching and her love for her students were obvious in everything she did.

Anyone who met Carol would immediately notice her warmth, sense of humor and kindness. Her smile could light up a room. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping, traveling and learning about paranormal psychology. Above all else, her greatest joy was the unique, loving and close relationship she shared with her daughter, Cassandra Maegan.

She is survived by: her mother and stepfather, Therese and Vernon Huestis of Biddeford; her daughter, Cassandra Maegan and fiancé Eric Grant of Biddeford; her sons, Jeremy McGrath and wife Jennifer of Saco and Jeffrey McGrath Jr. of Fairfield; sisters, Carlene LaFlamme of Saco and Carla Membrino and her husband Rob of Biddeford; a brother, Norman DuBois and wife Holly of Lyman; several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. sharp. At Carol’s request, wearing black is neither necessary nor encouraged. This is a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted and appreciated at the celebration.
