SANFORD — Marie Ange Pepin Caron, 90, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Sanford.

One of seven children, she was born in Sanford, a daughter of the late Rodolphe and Lydia (Voyer) Pepin.

She attended local schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School.

For many years, she was employed at Universal Shoe Corp. She also worked as a weaver in the Sanford mills.

She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed rug braiding, taking care of others, bingo and walking.

She was a lifelong communicant of Holy Family Parish.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 55 years, Alvie Caron, who passed away in 1977.

She is survived by: her son, Wayne Caron and his wife Ruth Sands of Windham and their two children Julie and Leigh and their families; and her daughter, Cynthia Poisson and her husband Gerard of St. Norbert, Quebec, and their three children Eric, Jeff and Annie and their families.

She is also survived by: one brother, Sylvio Pepin of Sanford; one sister, Gertrude Berthiaume of Sanford; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

We shall all recall her smile and generosity.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Family and friends may pay their respects to the family beginning at 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
