BATH — The Bath Middle School eighth-grade baseball team took advantage of good pitching and outstanding defense in defeating Mt. Ararat Middle School, 5-2 on Monday.
The trio of Austin Maggliozzi, Jackson Walker and Thomas Warren all pitched well, allowing just four hits. Tyreik Foster and Isiah Cogswell were standouts at shortstop and third base, respectively, for the Destroyers.
Foster added two hits to lead the offense.
Cole Kelly played well behind the plate for Mt. Ararat, while Michael Rogers had a single and double, and Garrett Moody a single.
