FARMINGTON — Charlie Lowell tossed five solid innings of relief as the Brunswick High School baseball team picked up a 3-1 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win against Mt. Blue on Tuesday.
Dragons starting pitcher John Parker left with an injury after two innings. He held the Cougars to no hits and one walk, with three strikeouts. Lowell went the rest of the way, permitting four hits and striking out two. He allowed an unearned run in the seventh before finishing up Brunswick’s win.
Ryan Maciejewski had two hits for the Dragons (4- 1), who are slated to host Oxford Hills on Thursday and rival Mt. Ararat on Friday.
Cam Abbott went the distance for Mt. Blue (3-3) on seven hits, three strikeouts, three walks and three runs. Abbott and Colton Lawrence picked up two singles apiece.

Morse improved to 4-2 Tuesday with a Class B KVAC win at Kelley Field.
Morse scored its first run in the second inning after Chris Paulus walked and stole two bases. Andrew LaCavera singled Paulus home a pitch later.
The Shipbuilders added another run in the third with back-to-back singles from Ethan Winglass and Liam McDonough. A wild pitch moved the runners up a base, and a Trenton Moore groundball brought in Winglass.
Camden got a run back in the top of the fifth on a twoout single to center by Joe Chamberlain.
Morse answered back with an insurance run in the sixth when Trevor Drouin scored on a missed played flyball in the infield.
Zach Holbrook was dominate on the mound for Morse, striking out eight with a walk and allowing four hits.
Chamberlain did a good job on the mound for Camden, getting out of some big innings without giving up runs.
Keegan McDonough had two hits, a walk and a stolen base, LaCavera a single, RBI and walk, and Liam McDonough a hit.

In non-conference action Tuesday, the host Bobcats took one on the chin as Sacopee Valley racked up 19 hits and scored 10 runs in the first inning.
Andy Haskell and Brady Anderson pitched for the 5-0 Hawks with five strikeouts and no walks. They allowed only a single each by Mike Stewart and Tyler Soucy.
Kyle Jordan paced the visitors with two doubles and two singles, while Haskell had two doubles and a single, and Devin Day three singles.
Four Richmond hurlers combined on eight walks and three strikeouts.
The 3-1 Bobcats are scheduled to host Valley on Thursday.

The Greyhounds scored four runs in the fourth inning to take control en route to a Mountain Valley Conference win at Strong.
Tyler Halls knocked in two runs with a single in the big Lisbon fourth, and RJ Sargent was 2-for-3 with a single and a double. Darren Ward chipped in a double.
“We started hitting the ball better in the fourth instead of hitting groundballs,” said Lisbon coach Randy Ridley, whose Greyhounds improved to 3-1 and visit Oak Hill today.
Sargent picked up the mound win, going five innings on five hits, two strikeouts and two walks. Ryley Austin and Kyle Bourget each pitched an inning of relief.
Cal Dickson took the loss for Mt. Abram (2-3), tossing 4.2 innings, striking out three and walking four. Dickson tripled and scored a run, while Tristan Dyer picked up a double and also scored one run.
