BATH — Tied 3-3, the Morse High School girls lacrosse team put together a four-goal spurt over the final 5:13 of regulation for an 8-4 Eastern Maine Class B victory over Gardiner on Tuesday at McMann Field.

The game was tight throughout, with the teams tied 3-3 at the half.

Ann Tolan scored the game-winning goal, her first varsity tally, and Ruth Nadeau picked up three goals and two assists to lead the Shipbuilders, who improved to 3-1 and visits Mountain Valley this upcoming Tuesday.

Sophie Sreden added two goals, while Noa Sreden had one goal and an assist, Amanda Gagne a goal and Bronwyn Morissette an assist.

Morse goaltender Cat Sener turned aside 10 shots.

Ally Day paced Gardiner with two goals, with Brooke Curtis and Emma Hickey adding a goal apiece. Maddy Cutler had seven saves.

MT. ARARAT 12

Messalonskee visited Mt. Ararat and beat the hosts in Eastern A play.

Mikayla Turner, Ally Fischang and Natalie St. Pierre each scored three goals for Messalonskee (2-1). Kristen Kern had two goals, and Sydney Gagne and India Langueg picked up one goal apiece for the visitors.

Carly Raymond had four goals for the hosts, with Alison Nolan adding three goals. Sierra Gilley, Erin Tome had two each, and Danielle Krause one for the Eagles, now 1-2 and scheduled to go to Cony on Thursday.

Bailey Sullivan stopped 18 shots on 31 Messalonskee attempts. Sydni Collier turned aside eight Mt. Ararat shots.
