BATH — The Bath Middle School softball team currently sits at 1-2.
Bath started its season with a 16-3 loss against Auburn. Marissa Parks and Sierra Wallace led the offense with a double and single each, while Dory Kulis added two singles, and Paige Faulkingham and Aubrey Martin each singled.
Parks pitched well with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
On Monday BMS faced Mt. Ararat, losing 3-2 in extra innings. In the BMS offense, Wallace and Martin each doubled, Hannah Roberts had two singles and Vanessa St. Pierre and Micailah Albertson added a single each.
Parks pitched a standout game with 23 strikeouts and four walks for Bath.
On Tuesday, Bath beat Brunswick, 17-1. St. Pierre led with a triple and single, while Parks added a double and two singles, Sara Graves a double and Wallace a single.
Kulis had the pitching duties for Bath, striking out 11 and walking four.
Bath travels to Oxford Hills today.
Strong defense was supplied by Brunswick pitcher Shea Sullivan, catcher Maddie Berry, Tianna Bernier and Olivia Meteus.
Offensive support was provided by Katelyn Austin, who had an RBI hit in the fifth inning and drove in Claire Johnson.
