FREMONT, N.H. — Diane Aschoff died peacefully in her home in Fremont after a 2 1/2-year battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 1, 1950, to Carmen Nadeau and Robert Burgess in Sanford, Maine.

Diane was in the Class of 1968 at Sanford High School and later moved to the Exeter area.

Diane was a successful and well-loved banker at People’s United Bank in Exeter.

Throughout the years, she touched many lives as a beloved mother, grandmother, companion, friend, mentor, co-worker and valuable member of this community. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by: her parents; daughters, Melissa Brown, Sonia Cloutier and Jennifer Aschoff; companion, Joseph Ready; siblings, Jo-Anne Masure and Bob Burgess; nieces, Lisa Masure and Rhonda Giacomelli; and grandchildren, Diane Fernald, Devin Brown, Kyle Cloutier and Kyrissa Cloutier.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. Private burial will be in the Brentwood Cemetery.
