Poland Spring announced recently that it would donate $250,000 to One Fund Boston in continued support of those most affected by the Boston Marathon bombings of 2013. The One Fund Boston is entering its next phase, focused on community building, coordinating programs and services to help meet the significant ongoing needs of the survivor community.
Poland Spring has been the official bottled water of the Boston Marathon since 2008. This year, the company unveiled the “Cheer Meter,” an interactive installation at Mile 19 that measured and visually represented the excitement and cheers from the crowd. Poland Spring pledged to make an incremental donation to One Fund Boston based on Cheer Meter participation, up to a maximum donation of $10,000.
Last April, Poland Spring donated $26,200 to One Fund Boston in recognition of the 26.2 mile journey of each runner. Limited-edition Poland Spring bottles, available throughout New England, will feature the One Fund Boston logo and packaging will encourage consumers to join Poland Spring in supporting One Fund Boston by making donations online.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
