BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High baseball team has been busy of late.
In recent action, the Huskies lost to Tripp 4-3, fell to Lewiston, 15-1 and dropped a 12-2 decision to Auburn on Monday.
In Turner, Noah Cox got things going with a single in the first and scored on a fielder’s choice by Brady Mitchell. In the third, Kyle Hanson led off with a bunt single and scored on an infield out by Max Friedman.
Tripp scored in the bottom of the seventh to win it.
Cam Daly went the distance and allowed nine hits with five walks and four strikeouts.
Also recently in Brunswick, Lewiston banged out 14 hits and parlayed eight walks.
Brunswick’s lone hit came from Kam Labbe, who singled and drove in the lone run in the fifth, scoring Ethan Boll, who had walked. Friedman and Labbe pitched for the Huskies.
On Monday at Auburn, the Huskies fell behind by eight runs after two innings.
Daly and three relievers gave up five hits and seven walks.
Cox had a single in the first, and Friedman a two-run single (scoring Tony Cilea and Cam Harrison) in the fourth.
Brunswick is now 0-5 and visits St. John’s School today.
