York County Jail Capt. Timothy Kortes was recently awarded certification as a certified corrections manager by the American Correctional Association. Kortes is in charge of jail operations. Certification as a CCM is based upon experience and accomplishments in the field of corrections. Applicants must complete a comprehensive examination testing their knowledge in managing human resources, enhancing the institutional environment, managing offenders, and managing a department.
