RICHMOND — A Bailey Johansen sacrifice fly in the sixth inning lifted Richmond High School to a 3-2 East-West Conference baseball win on Thursday.
The host Bobcats improved to 7-1 and hosts Greater Portland Christian on Wednesday.
Brendan Emmons went the distance with seven strikeouts and no walks, while losing pitcher Jonah Williams had 10 strikeouts and two free passes.
Mike Stewart paced Richmond with two singles, a double and an RBI, while Cameron Emmons, Tyler Soucy and Matt Holt each singled.
Trailing 2-1, Richmond scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on four consecutive hits and Johansen’s sacrifice fly.
Jared Eastman doubled in the loss as Buckfield fell to 4-4.

Trey Michonski tossed a five-hit shutout as the 4-8 Indians defeated 2-9 Mt. Ararat in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference make-up contest.
Michonski struck out five and walked two, and was the benefit of two plays at the plate that retired Eagle runners.
DJ Allen had two hits, including a two-run double in the first inning.
Ellison Etnier pitched well for the Eagles. He went the distance on six hits, one walk and four strikeouts.
Kevin Carter doubled in the loss, with Cam Cox, Dylan Johnson, Reilly Kons and Jacob O’Neill each picking up a single.
