SCARBOROUGH – The Scarborough Police Department has arrested two men after they went on a shoplifting spree at Cabela’s on Saturday, May 24, according to a press release issued on Tuesday afternoon.
Shane Seavey, 33, and Sean MacArthur, 26, were both charged with theft in the incident. In addition, Seavey was also charged with possessing a theft device. Police said he used a tool that allowed him to remove security webbing from the merchandise stolen.
Police also executed a search of the vehicle driven by the two men and found a ledger that listed numerous stores and items stolen during a recent period. In addition, drugs and paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle, according to the press release.
An investigation into the activities of the two men is ongoing and additional charges are expected, the press release state.
