SKOWHEGAN ( AP) — Police in Skowhegan are looking for a knife-wielding, masked man who robbed a convenience store.
Police tell the Morning Sentinel the man entered the Irving Circle K store on Madison Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Monday and made off with money from the register and the clerk’s car keys.
The car was ditched a short distance away and a sheriff ’s department dog tracked the robber to a Beech Street home. A search warrant executed at the house where “ many items of evidence” were collected, but no one was arrested.
The thief remained at large Monday afternoon.
