SACO — Jeannette A. Cullinan, 91, of Saco, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born July 6, 1922 in Biddeford, a daughter of Alfred and Yvonne Bergeron Larochelle, and was educated in Biddeford schools.

On April 19, 1951, she married Hugh X. Cullinan at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.

Over the years, Mrs. Cullinan worked for the Town of Old Orchard Beach as a bookkeeper and at the high school as secretary to the principal. She also worked for the local attorney Lloyd LaFountain and at the Brunswick Hotel also as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and cooking. Jeannette also enjoyed bowling and was a longtime member of the bowling leagues at both the Roll-Away and Vacationland lanes.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Hugh X. Cullinan, on Feb. 23, 2011.

Surviving are: two sons, Daniel E. Cullinan and his wife Kim of Kansas City, Kan. and James A. Cullinan of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Barbara J. Cullinan of Augusta and Elaine M. Kjos and her husband David of Franklin, Tenn.; two sisters, Pauline Laliberte and Carmen Murray and her husband Albert, all of Biddeford; one brother, Roland Larochelle of Clearwater, Fla. and Montreal, Canada; four grandchildren, David Kjos Jr., Cody Kjos, Brian Cullinan and Bailey Cullinan; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Friday at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
