On Friday at 3:50 p.m., Cumberland County Sheriff deputies and New Gloucester Fire/EMS responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash on Route 100 in New Gloucester.

According to sheriff’s Capt. Don Goulet, a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Tina Dennison, 36, and 5-year-old passenger Christopher Hinks, both of New Gloucester, collided head-on with a 2006 commercial box truck towing a trailer operated by William Smith, 60, of Naples.

Goulet said Dennison’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the vehicle operated by Smith. Both drivers and the passenger were transported to area hospitals for what Goulet said were believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
