
On Nov. 3, 1956, Donna married her true love, Dale J. Hodgkins, and the couple resided in Bath to raise their family. Donna was employed as the assistant treasurer for the Bath Water District for over 40 years, retiring in 1996.
Donna was a special lady with a big heart. She loved her family and they always came first in her life. She had a passion for sports, she was on the bowling league for several years, and always made time to attend the sporting events her children and grandchildren were in. Donna also loved to travel, she wanted to see the world, and live it to the fullest. She will be sadly missed by all those that loved her.
Donna is predeceased by her daughter, Debby Murch and a sister, Barbara Meyer.
She leaves behind her husband, Dale of Brunswick; two sons, Richard Hodgkins and his wife Donna of Bath and Larry Hodgkins of Bath ; daughter, Cindy Thurston and her husband Ray; brother, Alan Stewart and his wife Miley of Brunswick ; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at the funeral home.
