A Lisbon woman walked away uninjured after the jeep she was driving on Route 196 struck a moose Saturday night, killing it.
The crash was reported at 9:02 p.m. according to Topsham Police Lt. Fred Dunn. A Jeep driven by Jamie Mauro, 27, of Lisbon Falls, was traveling west on Route 196 when a moose crossed into the roadway, Dunn said, and Mauro was unable to avoid it.
