JACKMAN — Mike Stewart tossed his second no-hitter of the season as the Richmond High School baseball team completed an East-West Conference doubleheader sweep of Forest Hills, 11-0.
The Bobcats rallied in the opener, scoring four runs in the seventh inning for a 6-5 win.
Richmond concluded the regular season with a 12-1 record and clinched the top seed in the Western Maine Class D postseason.
In the first game, Forest Hills (2-12) led 5-2 heading to the final frame, but Cameron Emmons scored the tying run on a Stewart RBI single. Matt Holt followed with a single, with Stewart circling the bases to give Richmond the lead.
“They helped us out with a few errors in the seventh,” said Richmond coach Ryan Gardner.
Brendan Emmons and Holt pitched for Richmond, combining on nine hits, 12 strikeouts and one walk.
Matt Turner went the distance for the Tigers, with 10 strikeouts and four walks. Nate Gilbert singled three times.
The second game was all about Stewart, who struck out 10, walked one and faced just two batters over the minimum in the Mercy Rule five-inning win.
Holt singled and homered, Bailey Johansen tripled and single, Stewart had two hits including a double and Brendan Emmons singled twice.
Three Forest Hills pitchers combined on 12 hits, three strikeouts and four walks.
MORSE 1
LINCOLN ACADEMY 2
Devin Scherer singled in Sawyer Pinkham to give the host Eagles (12-4) a walk-off win over Morse (10-6) at Newcastle in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B play.
Lincoln Academy’s AJ Oliver and Morse’s Jacob Cressey battled tooth-and-nail. Cressey faced just two batters over the minimum coming into the seventh and held a 1-0 lead.
Morse scored its lone run when Andrew LaCavera launched an opposite-field home run to give the Shipbuilders the lead.
Brady Leeman tied the game with an RBI single off the glove of diving Ethan Winglass in the seventh.
Pinkham led off the eighth with a double to right-center field. Dakota Jacobs relieved Cressey (seven innings, three strikeouts, one walk), and Scherer ended it two pitchers later.
LaCavera was 2-for-3 to lead the More offense, while Winglass was 1-for-4.
Pinkham, Leeman, Wally Morris and Scherer each had one hit for the Eagles.
BANGOR 4
BRUNSWICK 0
Justin Courtney tossed a complete-game two-hit shutout as the visiting Rams downed the Dragons in KVAC play on Monday.
Brunswick (8-7) received a solid start from pitcher Brady Larson, who also went the distance on six hits, four strikeouts and two walks. Two of the runs were unearned.
Jordan Derrah had two hits for Bangor (14-2).
Larson and Adam Casey each singled for the Dragons, who visit Oxford Hills to close out the regular season today.
GREATER PORTLAND 1
RICHMOND 30
Richmond High School led 18-0 after three innings en route to a win over Greater Portland Christian on Saturday.
Tyler Soucy paced Richmond (9-1) with four singles, while Colin Acord had three singles and Johansen a first-inning, grand slam home run.
Cameron Emmons pitched a five-inning complete game with four strikeouts and no walks.
Brunswick boys roll, 21-5
BATH — Cameron Glover and Matt Brooks combined on nine goals and five assists as the Brunswick High School boys lacrosse team defeated Morse 21-5 in a crossover game at McMann Field on Monday.
Josh Dorr had a four-point night (two goals, two assists) for the Dragons, while goaltender Chris MrVichin turned aside eight shots as Brunswick finished the regular season with a 10-2 record.
Morse, which trailed 7-5 at the half, concluded its regular season with a 9-3 mark and faces Maranacook in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B title game on Friday.
The Dragons will take on Messalonskee in the KVAC Class A title contest on Friday.
Alec Beveridge paced Morse with two goals, with one goal each coming from Perry Chase, Dylan Crowell and Otto Werwaiss, who added two assists. Kevin Thibodeau had 12 saves in the loss. Kevin Tolan had eight groundballs, Kyle Perry scooped up five, with Patrick McKenna and James Laser credited with four.

WELLS GIRLS 10
Lily Johnston had four goals and Meredith Broderick chipped in three tallies and an assist as the Falcons downed Wells in Eastern Maine Class B action.
The Falcons improved to 9-2 and host North Yarmouth Academy on Wednesday.
Nina Moore, Emily Johnson and Lizzy Martin added two goals each for Freeport, with Courtney Broderick finishing with one goal and three helpers, Jasmine Olins a goal and Julia Dearden a goal.
Nicki Moody paced Wells with five goals and two assists.
BRUN. GIRLS 2
YARMOUTH 14
The Dragons concluded their regular season with a crossover loss to the 10-1 Clippers at Yarmouth.
Brunswick is 5-7 and will await the final seeding to determine a playoff berth in Eastern Class A.
Anna McMillan and Sydney Anderson picked up a goal each for Brunswick.
Shannah Fallon paced Yarmouth with three goals and four assists, with Lane Simsarian tallying two goals and two helpers.
