KITTERY — The Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter will present the free workshop “Driving: When is it time to give up the keys?” on Tuesday, June 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Kittery Community Center, 120 Rogers Road.
This free program is for families and individuals who are dealing with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Making a decision about when is it time to stop driving can be difficult, but dealing with the issue early on can help eases the transition, organizers say. This program will offer strategies for having the conversation about driving.
This program is free, however advanced registration is required.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
