BURLINGTON, Vt. — The following local students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont’s commencement ceremonies on May 18: Arielle Arsenault of Old Orchard Beach, master’s degree in natural resources; Melissa Beckett of Arundel, bachelor’s degree in animal sciences; Shelby Colby of Lebanon, bachelor’s degree in exercise and movement sciences; Abigail Fenstermaker of Wells, bachelor’s degree in professional nursing; Brittany Gallant of Limington, bachelor’s degree in sociology; Melissa Gelinas of Saco, bachelor’s degree in linguistics; Mackenzie Jones of Saco, master’s degree in communication science and disorders; and Jackson Tupper of Kennebunk, bachelor’s degree in studio art.
