Maj. Pamela (Greene) Unger, USMC, has graduated from the Marine Corps’ Command and Staff College, Quantico, Va. Maj. Unger is the daughter of Peter and Kathy Greene of Buxton, and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School, Buxton, in 1991.

Navy Ensign Brittany N. Henley, daughter of Richard Henley of Clearwater, Fla., and Brenda Henley of Eliot, recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned to her current rank. Henley is a 2010 graduate of Marshwood High School, South Berwick.

Navy Ensign Erin M. Bacon, daughter of Glenn. and Janice Bacon of York, recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. and was commissioned to her current rank. Bacon is a 2008 graduate of Portsmouth Christian Academy, Dover, N.H.

Coast Guard Ensign Rachel A. Deschene has graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., with a commission as an ensign. Deschene is the daughter of Ronald and Allison Deschene of Palm Harbor, Fla., and granddaughter of Jackie Cloutier of Lewiston. She is a 2010 graduate of Tarpon Springs, Fla., High School.

The Maine Military and Community Network fourth annual statewide conference will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 20, at University of New England, Stevens Avenue, Portland. Dr. Kelly Posner will be the keynote speaker and the topic will be her new suicide assessment tool. There will be breakout sessions on topics of interest to the public and service providers. A focus of the conference will be the “Armed Forces Community Covenant.” The fee is $40 and registration deadline is Friday.
