ALTOONA, Pa. — The Portland Sea Dogs and Altoona Curve were postponed on Thursday night due to rain.
As a result, the suspended Eastern League game from Wednesday and the regularly scheduled game for Thursday will be inherited by Portland and made up when the Curve visit the Sea Dogs and Hadlock Field in a series beginning June 20.
The suspended game will be played first, before the scheduled opener of the series. The first suspended game will begin at 6 p.m., with the scheduled game changed to a seven-inning affair.
On June 21, the teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m.
Saturday, June 21st, will now feature a doubleheader between the two teams and will begin at 5:00 PM, with both games being 7-innings.
Portland visits Akron tonight beginning at 7:05 p.m.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
