BATH — In the Bath Major Division Cal Ripken Baseball Championship, Smith Tobey banged out 17 hits and received lights-out pitching from Thomas Warren and Jackson Walker en route to a 10-1 victory over Sharon Drake Realty recently.

Warren was 4-for-4 with two doubles, while Ethan Testa ripped a triple and added two singles, Josiah Yeaton a double and two singles, Walker a triple and double, Isaak Flaming two singles, Asa Hodgdon a double and a single, and Kaleb Jackson a single.

Warren pitched four innings, giving up the only two hits and an unearned run while striking out 11. Walker came in to pitch the final two frames with four strikeouts.

Sam Kirkpatrick made a outstanding catch down the left-field line denying Joe Guenther’’s third hit of the game.

Smith Tobey finished 15-2 for the season.

For Sharon Drake, Guenther banged out a double and single.

Nicco Bartone continued to showcase his fielding skills at shortstop and Brogan Shaw made two standout defensive plays at pitcher.
