LEOMINSTER, Mass. — A walk-off sacrifice fly from Kurtis White brought home the winning run for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (3-4) in a 6-5 victory over the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide in 12 innings at Doyle Field on Thursday.

White led the Dirt Dawgs’ offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.

Mike Corin rocked the Raging Tide (1-7) with two home runs. Corin went 2-for-6 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Corin homered in the first and seventh innings.

Ryan Venditti pitched lights out for Wachusett pitching in relief of starter Ben White. Venditti held the Raging Tide hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Ryan O’Shea improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wachusett. O’Shea struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits while pitching in the top of the 12th.

Artom Rank was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run ”“ the game-inning run.

The Tide scored three runs in the third ”“ on a Graham McIntire home run, a Paul McDonough RBI single and a Kelly Rooney sacrifice fly ”“ to take an early lead, but wasted a solid six-inning start on the mound by Brian O’Keefe, who gave up three runs on six hits.

The Raging Tide is back in action tonight as the team hosts the Seacoast Mavericks at The Ballpark at 7 p.m.
