BIDDEFORD — Laurette J. Gauvin, 98, of Brandon, Fla. and formerly of Biddeford, passed away on May 17, 2013 in Brandon, Fla.

Laurette was born in Biddeford on March 5, 1915, a daughter of John and Lea (Morin) Fecteau.

She was educated in the Biddeford schools.

She was employed at Kesslen Shoe Factory in Kennebunk for 40 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.

Laurette was preceded in death by: her husband, Calixte Gauvin, in 1967; her son, Andre Gauvin, who passed away in 2005; as well as her brothers, Roland and Conrad Fecteau; and sister, Bernadette Sylvester.

Laurette is survived by: her daughter, Joan Cyr of The Villages, Fla.; two sons, Donald Gauvin of The Villages, Fla. and Raymond Gauvin of Arundel; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home in Saco.
