BATH — BIW finished off the year by winning the Cal Ripkin Baseball Minor League Championship with a 14-3 decision over Sunnybrook Village.
Batting for BIW was Thomas Guild with two hits, while Gabe Aucoin, Wyatt Wallace, Ty Knowlton and Kaleb McPhail chipped in with one each.
Pitchers Aucoin and Guild combined on 10 strikeouts. Catching was handled by Ty Knowlton and Dylan Potter. Alex Potter played great defense on first base. Strong plays in the outfield came from Henry Kerr, Quintin Webster, Lucas Quimby and Keirnan Mann, along with solid infield plays by Sawyer Stead and Kyle Fredericks.
Zack Forman was strong offensively for Sunnybrook. Pitching for Sunnybrook were Trevor Hanna and Owen Tucker, while catchers were Boden Gould and Connor McNish.
Outfielders Ben Froman, Dalton Johnston, Michael Coleman, Calin Gould and Elijah Wallace put in strong performances. Infielders Forman, Caleb Cousins, Tucker, McNish and Boden Gould played well.
Knowlton also won the Kyle Fitzherbert Award.
