Emily Boyd

Emily Boyd is the daughter of Trent and Laurie Boyd of Buxton. Emily has been a member of both the National Honor Society and the French National Honor Society as well as a member of the Select Chorus. She participated in the District Music Festival for three years, the All-State Music Festival for two years, and the All-Eastern Music Festival for one year. She has played varsity tennis. Emily has received undergraduate awards for Honors English 10, AP Language and Composition, Accounting 1, and French 1. She will be studying accounting at Cairn University in Pennsylvania.

Victoria Cady

Victoria is the daughter of Stephen Cady of Buxton. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, Student Council, Mock Trial, and the Model UN Conference. She has played field hockey and softball. Victoria has received the 2013 Bruce Dobkowski Sportsmanship Award, 2nd Team All-Conference Field Hockey Award, and All-Academic Team Field Hockey Award. Victoria will be attending Boston College to study secondary education with an English concentration and then go on to teach middle school English.

Leah Carter

Leah is the daughter of Michael and Martha Carter of Buxton. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Mock Trial and Key Club. She has received the SMAA Summit Student-Athlete Conference Award, the Smith Book Award, and was nominated for leadership scholarships. Leah has participated in field hockey, indoor track, and lacrosse for all four years and is the varsity lacrosse captain. Leah will be attending Stonehill College in Massachusetts but has not declared her major.

Samuel Clift

Sam is the son of Bruce and Nancy Clift of Steep Falls. Sam has been a member of the National Honor Society, High Honors, Key Club, Model UN, Outing Club, and Math Team. He has received the Saint Anselm Book Award. He has played tennis and soccer throughout high school. He received the most improved player in tennis in 2013 and is the tennis captain for 2014. He was the soccer JV captain in 2012 and was awarded most dedicated soccer player in 2013. Sam will be attending Northeastern to study engineering and plans to work with renewable energy after college.

Shawna Meserve

Shawna is the daughter of Chris and Veronica Meserve of Standish. She has been an officer of the National Honor Society, a member of the Spanish National Honor Society, the captain of the Math Team, and a member of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Explorers. She has received the English 9 Award, the Lab Earth Science Award, the Scholar-Athlete Award and the Columbia Book Award. She has received the AP Scholar with Honors Award as well as the Explorers Professionalism Award. She has participated in cross country and indoor/outdoor track. Shawna will be attending Colby College majoring in biology with plans to further her education at medical school or to conduct ecological research.

Katherine Perry

Katherine is the daughter of Lorri and Mark Perry. She was the senior class treasurer and has been a member and officer of the National Honor Society. She has been on the honor roll all four years. She has participated in cross country for three years, indoor track for two years, outdoor track for one year, and tennis for three years. She received recognition as the most improved player in cross country, the most dedicated player in indoor track, and has been on the SMAA All-Academic Team. Katherine will be attending the University of New England and majoring in biology.

Nathaniel Schopen

Nathaniel is the son of Kurt and Lori Schopen of Hollis Center. Nate received the Bruce Dobkowski Sportsmanship Award in basketball and has participated in baseball and basketball. Nate will be attending the University of Connecticut majoring in statistics and actuary.

Kelsey Sicard

Kelsey is the daughter of David and Jennifer Sicard of Hollis. Kelsey was the junior class president, and has been a member and senior officer of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, Student Council, Outing Club, Prom Committee, SMAA Athletic Summit 2013, Youth in Government, and Maine’s 2013 Youth Governor. She was a National Merit Finalist and has received the Dartmouth Alumni Book Award, the Katherine McGonagle Creative Writing Award, the Honors English 12 Department Award, and was an AP Scholar with honors. She has participated in varsity soccer for four years and was the senior captain. She has volunteered more than 100 hours at a doctor’s office. Kelsey will be attending Duke University in North Carolina majoring in pre-med.

Kristen Glennie

Kristen is the daughter of Mark and Rose Glennie of Standish. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Outing Club, and Model UN. She has received honors all four years, cross country’s most dedicated for three years, indoor track’s most improved award, the Bruce Dobkowski Sportsmanship Award, and the Sage College Book Award. Kristen has participated in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track all four years. She also has acquired her 2nd degree in Black Belt. Kristen will attend Clark University in Massachusetts majoring in biology with plans to go into the Peace Corps and then continue on to physical therapy school.

Zoe Goodwin

Zoe is the daughter of Tim Goodwin and Barbara Archer-Hirsch of Standish. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Student Council for three years. She has received awards for Honor Roll all four years. Zoe has participated in cross country, indoor/outdoor track, swimming, and softball and earned the MVP Cross Country Award in 2013. She will be attending the University of Rhode Island for a 5-year program in ocean engineering and marine biology.

Jason Harmon

Jason is the son of Michael and Karen Harmon of Limington. He has been a member of the National Honor Society, and Student Council. He was class treasurer his sophomore year and served on the prom committee. He has received the Foods for Wellness Award, Calculus Award, Honors U.S. History Award, and St. Michaels Book Award. Jason was a four-year varsity lacrosse player, and lacrosse captain his senior year. He also played varsity hockey his freshman and sophomore years. Jason was awarded the Runner-Up All-Conference Hockey his sophomore year. Jason will be attending USM part time while playing ice hockey for the Portland Junior Pirates United States Premier 418 Team to pursue a Division I hockey scholarship.

Erin Judge

Erin is the daughter of Janet and Wesley Judge of Buxton. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Student Council, Youth in Government, and Key Club. She has also participated in lacrosse, soccer and swimming where she received a sportsmanship award as well as the most valuable player award. Erin will be attending the University of New Hampshire majoring in nursing with plans of becoming a nurse practitioner with a specialty in neonatal.

Mary Szatkowski

Mary is the daughter of Barbara and Michael Szatkowski of Buxton. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, and the Outing Club. She has participated in indoor/outdoor track all four years, cross country for two years, and soccer for two years. She has received the St. Michael’s Book Award, the Honors Physics Award, the Gym Award, and the Victor of the Nerf Hunger Games Award. Mary was also awarded the 2012 Most Dedicated Cross Country Award as well as the 2013 Sportsmanship Award. Mary will be attending Bates College and majoring in Physics.

Abigail Ward, valedictorian

Abigail Ward is the daughter of Susan and James Ward of Buxton. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, Math Team, Outing Club, and Youth in Government. She was an officer of the National Honor Society and state treasurer in Youth in Government. She received the Princeton Book Award, AP Scholar with Honor Award, Scholar- Athlete Award 2013, and has been a Kiwanis Honor student all 4 years. She has participated in Varsity Field Hockey and Varsity Lacrosse all 4 years. Abigail will be attending Dartmouth College in New Hampshire to study Pre-Med with plans of furthering her education at a medical or dental school.

Audrey Weyand

Audrey is the daughter of Vicki and Justin Weyand of Buxton. She has been a member and officer of the National Honor Society. She was a member of the state champion outdoor track team 2011, and the state champion cross-country team 2012 and 2013. She has participated in cross country all four years, and indoor/outdoor track all four years. Audrey has received the Kiwanis Honor Award all four years, the SMAA Citizenship Award, the Wendy’s Heisman State Finalist Award, the MVP Indoor Track Award for two years, and the Sportsmanship Award for indoor track. She has also received awards for SMAA 1st Team indoor and outdoor track, All-State Team indoor and outdoor track. Audrey is also the school record holder of the 400-meter. Audrey will be attending Northeastern University to major in Speech Language Pathology to become a clinical speech therapist.

Sierra Cooper

Sierra is the daughter of William and Lorena Cooper of Limington. She has been a member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. She has received the Rensselaer Medal, AP Statistics Award and been recognized as a National Achievement Scholar. She has participated in cross country and indoor/outdoor track. Sierra will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York where she will major in mechanical engineering.

Dejah Crystal

Dejah is the daughter of Danielle Crystal and John Howe of Standish. She has been a member of Model UN and has participated in tennis. Dejah will be attending Kalamazoo College in Michigan majoring in Chinese with hopes to study abroad in China her junior year.

Veronica Druchniak

Veronica is the daughter of Sally Clark and Paul Druchniak of Standish. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, the Thespian Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society. She is a company member and soloist at the Maine State Ballet. She has received the St. Thomas University Book Award, Honors English Award, Select Chorus Award and All-National Choir Award. Veronica plans to attend the University of Southern Maine on full tuition scholarship through the Pioneer Program to study electrical engineering. She also plans to continue dancing in the Maine State Ballet Company.

Samantha Dubois

Samantha is the daughter of David and Debbie Dubois of Hollis. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Happy Hoofbeats 4-H Club, and the Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of Maine. Samantha has received Kiwanis Honors for all four years as well as the Standardbred National Jumping Champion in 2010. Samantha will be attending Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island majoring in equine business and management/riding.

Anna French

Anna is the daughter of Peter and Anne French of Standish. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Concert Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Math Team. She has received Honors Geometry and Latin Underclassmen Awards, and has earned Kiwanis Honors all four years. Anna has participated in Cross Country 10, 11, 12, Tennis 10, 11, and Outdoor Track 12. She received the most improved cross country runner for 2011, and the most improved tennis player for 2013. Anna will be attending Wheaton College in Massachusetts to study biology.

Hannah Ketch

Hannah is the daughter of Gael and Darrell Ketch of Standish. Hannah was the senior class president. She chaired the Haunted House Fundraiser, and Senior Banquet. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Envirothon. She participated in varsity football/basketball cheering all four years, varsity tennis all four years, varsity outdoor track her senior year and was a cheering coach all four years. She has been the recipient of the Calculus Award, Spanish Award, SMAA All-Academic Award, SMAA 1st Team Award, and MVP for both cheering and tennis. Hannah also received the Principal’s Award. Hannah will be attending the University of Rhode Island majoring in pharmacy. She then plans to join the Navy Medical Service Corps. as a pharmacist.

Hilary Kinney

Hilary is the daughter of Jonathan and Rena Kinney of Limington. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, and a volunteer at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. She received the most improved tennis award in 2012 and the MVP Award in tennis in 2013. She has participated in cross country and indoor track for two years, and tennis for four years. Hilary will be attending Geneva College in Pennsylvania majoring in biology.

Kendyll Martin

Kendyll is the daughter of Jeanne and John Martin of Hollis. She received the Select Choir Sophomore Award. She participated in the District Music Festival all four years, the All-State Music Festival for three years, and the All-National Music Festival. She also received the Biology/Chemistry Award and College of the Atlantic Book Award. Kendyll has plans to attend Emmanuel College in Boston and studying pre-med with a focus in neuroscience.

Krista Meserve

Krista is the daughter of Hope and Brian Meserve of Hollis. She has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years and has received Kiwanis Honors Awards, the Honors Chemistry Underclassman Award and the Book Award her junior year. She has been involved with dance for 15 years and has been a member of All That Dance Senior Competition for five years. Krista has received multiple adjudications in gold, high gold, platinum and has received a Leadership Award as well as a lead in the ballet production this year. Krista will be attending Emmanuel College in Boston majoring in chemistry with plans to go into forensics.
