BRUNSWICK — Five County Credit Union defeated Blue Rock 10-3 in Brunswick Area Women’s Softball League action on Tuesday.
Pitching for Five County Credit Union was Tammy Carter and for Blue Rock Jen Cooper.
Cindy Crow of Blue Rock was a standout at first base, diving for balls and catching everything that was thrown at her. Hannah Miller contributed a triple play late in the fourth inning and had several outfield catches. Melissa Spinney was also a defensive standout.
In recent action, Five County Credit Union defeated Margo & Co., 6-3.
Penny Durgin of Marge & Co. had an standout night in left field, crashing into the fence to catch a foul ball for an out.
Mary Bouchard of Five County Credit Union had a double, while Meghan Smith of Margo & Co. also had a double, and teammate Jen Mitkus was an offensive force.
Five County Credit Union shortstop Mollie Ryan played well defensively and launched a home run in the sixth inning.
Pitchers were Tammy Carter of Five County Credit Union and Darcy Emerson of Margo & Co.
