BANGOR — Cecilia Lilliette Breedlove, 82, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Levant. She was born in Brunswick on July 31, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Emerilda (Lavoie) Bois.

Cecilia worked as a hairdresser for 46 years. She owned and operated Cecilia’s Beauty Shop in Topsham. In 1962, she married Woody Breedlove and became a military wife for the next 16 years. In 1978, Woody retired from the U.S. Air Force and the family moved to Maple Street in Bangor. While living there, she was employed by Freese’s Beauty Salon and D’Lor Beauty Salon until she retired.

Cecilia is survived by her son, John Breedlove and his wife, Jacqueline of Bangor; two daughters, Teresa Curry and her husband, Kevin of Levant, and Christina Coombs and her husband, Stanley of Bangor; four grandchildren who knew her as Memere, Calleigh Grace and Shayna Faith Coombs, Eve Noel and Jackson Woody Breedlove. She was predeceased by her husband, Woody, and her siblings, Grace, Joachim, Bertrand and Rolande.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tracy Sutherland, a close family friend who was always there to lend a hand.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments at Breedlove home, 211 Maple St., Bangor, immediately following the Mass. Interment will be 1 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2014, at Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
