Six runners from southern Maine have been selected as inductees for the Maine Running Hall of Fame.

They are:

Susannah Beck of North Yarmouth, a three-time qualifier for the U.S. Olympic marathon trials.

 Polly Kenniston of Westbrook, a national-class age-group competitor who holds six Maine Corporate Track and Field records.

 Matt Lane, a Yarmouth native who was an 11-time All-American at William & Mary and who twice placed fourth at 5,000 meters in the U.S. Olympic trials.

 Jerry LeVasseur of Brunswick, a national masters age-group champion in cross country and numerous track and field events.

 Sheri Piers of Falmouth, a two-time Olympic marathon trials qualifier who won the women’s masters division at the 2012 Boston Marathon.

 Jim Toulouse of Cape Elizabeth, a top age-group runner who has completed 41 marathons and served on the board of directors for the TD Beach to Beacon 10K.

The group will be honored at the annual induction banquet Nov. 9 at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland.

Karol L’Heureux used a 9-iron to ace the 80-yard sixth hole during the Deep Brook Ladies League tournament May 14.

Ma-Li Guillerault made a hole-in-one on the eighth hole at Biddeford-Saco Country Club on June 1. Guillerault used a driver for the 129-yard shot, which was witnessed by Gerry Guillereault, Ivan Guillereault and Paul Roy.

Tracey Roberts carded a hole-in-one on June 7 at Biddeford-Saco Country Club. Roberts used an 8-iron on the 149-yard 15th hole. The shot was witnessed by Doug Murray, Marc Blanchette and Matt Leblanc.

Carol Curran from Nonesuch River Golf Club made a hole-in-one on the fourth hole at Toddy Brook Golf Course while playing in a Southern Maine Women’s Golf Association event June 10. Curran used a 7-iron for the 85-yard shot, which was witnessed by June Bureau, Linda Robichaud and Michele Meadows.

Butch Presby made a hole-in-one June 11 at Bath Country Club. Presby used an 8-iron for a 115-yard shot on the 13th hole.

Andrew Goyet aced the second hole at Biddeford-Saco Country Club on June 14. Goyet used a 7-iron from 180 yards. Johan Goyet, Dave Goyet and Mike Goyet witnessed the shot.

Louise Nisbet aced the fourth hole at South Portland Municipal Golf Course on June 17. Nisbet used an 8-iron for the shot, which was witnessed by Cynthia DiBias, Peggy Marston and Joann Master.

Matt Peterson recorded a hole-in-one on the 11th hole at Dutch Elm Golf Course on June 18. Peterson used a 9-iron for the 140-yard shot, which was witnessed by Tony Veastimiglia, Jose Rodriguez and Ron Rodriguez.

Ryan Dineen carded a hole-in-one on 15th hole at Biddeford-Saco Country Club on June 18. Dineen used an 8-iron on the 149-yard hole. The shot was witnessed by Kevin Schrader and Bill Dineen.

Claire Poulin made her first career hole-in-one on the 107-yard eighth hole at Sable Oaks on June 20, using a 9-iron. It was witnessed by Jim and Sandy Osterrieder, and Linda Marquis.

Anthony Zawistowsky aced the 11th hole at Toddy Brook Golf Course on June 21. Zawistowsky used a 7-iron for the 158-yard shot.

Tom Jacobs made his fifth career hole-in-one on June 22, using his driver on the 210-yard ninth hole at the Rockland Golf Club. Bob Sommers, Chandler Woodman and Armand Plourd witnessed the feat.
