WATERBORO — Caleb Campbell had three hits and three runs scored, and Weston Bergeron hit a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Massabesic an 8-7 win over Saco Bay Physical Therapy in the first game of an American Legion doubleheader Saturday.

Saco Bay won the second game, 5-3, sparked by Trevor Labonte’s two-run single in the fifth inning.

SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS, MOODY’S SPLIT: Bailey Ryan finished with two strikeouts and no walks while pitching a three-hitter for Saco-Biddeford Savings (5-2) in a 7-0 win over Moody’s (3-2) in the opener of a doubleheader at Westbrook.

Jack McCullough had two hits, scored two runs and drove in one for Westbrook, which scored twice in the first inning and added five runs in the second.

In Game 2, Damon Wallace hit a three-run homer, a triple and a single and finished with four RBI to lead Moody’s to a 10-6 win.

OA-YARMOUTH, LIBBY- MITCHELL SPLIT: Ryan Nason threw a five-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks, and Connor Lainey hit a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to lift OA-Yarmouth to a 3-1 win over Libby-Mitchell at Yarmouth.

In Game 2, Libby-Mitchell took the lead on a three-run triple by Matt Denison in the top of the sixth and held on for a 6-4 win.

STANDISH POST 128 SWEEPS CUMBERLAND: Standish Post 128 (3-4) got complete games from Max Salevsky and Noah Scribner for a pair of wins over Cumberland (1-3) at Standish.

Salevsky scattered 11 hits, walked none and struck out five in a 9-4 victory in Game 1.

Brady Anderson led off the first inning with a triple for Standish, and C.J. McMahon followed with a double and later scored to put Standish ahead for good.

In Game 2, Roderick Maynard snapped a 3-3 tie with a sacrifice fly in the fourth that brought home Matt Bridges, and Standish held on for a 5-3 win.

Maynard helped Standish tie the game in the third with a leadoff triple.

Scribner struck out three, walked four and allowed six hits.

JUNIOR LEGION

YANKEE FORD SWEEPS GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER POST 86: John Bernier went 4 for 4 with two RBI and Nik Hase struck out nine while tossing a two-hitter to lead Yankee Ford (8-2) to a 9-0 win over Gray-New Gloucester Post 86 (2-5) in the second game of a doubleheader at Cheverus.

Hase also had two hits and scored two runs.

In the opener, Gavin Curran hit an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh to lift Yankee Ford to a 4-3 victory.

Gray-New Gloucester starter Tyler St. Pierre struck out seven and did not give up a hit in four scoreless innings.

WELLS POST 143 SWEEPS SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS: Wells pitchers gave up just one hit in two mercy-rule wins, 11-0 in five innings and 10-0 in six innings, at Biddeford.

Jordan Cluff pitched a no-hitter in the opener with one walk and five strikeouts. Cody Cousins belted a two-run double in the second inning to give Wells a 5-0 lead.

Ryan Sousa allowed one hit, struck out six and walked one in Game 2, and Wells (8-0) scored six runs in the sixth. Liam Bell had a two-run single, and Shawn Ramsey capped the big inning with a two-run double.

STANDISH POST 128, SMITH-TOBEY SPLIT: Lucas Pierce went 4 for 4 and drove in four runs, and Cody Mains added two hits and four RBI to lead Standish Post 128 (5-4) to a 9-6 win over Smith-Tobey (1-6) in the opener of a doubleheader at Bath.

Smith-Tobey bounced back for a 9-6 win, getting two hits apiece from Tyler Young, Desmond Babbidge and Adam Sirois.

Mains went 3 for 4 with a double for Standish.
