The Competitive Skills Scholarship program will be accepting applications through July 3. The program is open to income-eligible Mainers who are qualified for post-secondary education to learn skills for expected high-wage jobs in Maine. Applications are available at the state’s CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor. The centers provide a variety of free services and workshops to help with job searches and to upgrade skills.
