Richmond police were again called to report of a truck that hit the railroad trestle bridge along Route 24 Monday morning.
The crash was reported at about 8:45 a.m. Monday. Richmond Police Chief Scott MacMaster said Zachary Bisbee, 23, of Poland, was driving a rental vehicle, a 2011 International box van south on Route 24 when it struck the bridge, which tore the top off the box trailer.
There was debris in the road and it was reduced to one lane for about 20 minutes, MacMaster said. No one was hurt and no charges were issued.
The bridge sustained no obvious structural damage but police notified the Maine Department of Transportation, MacMaster said, which will inspect the bridge at a future point.
The trestle bridge, which has a low 11.5-foot clearance, has been clipped by a number of trucks in past years.
