BATH — Lorna Y. Hersom, 81, died June 22.

She was born in Bath on Aug. 20, 1932, the daughter of James and Etta York. As a child, she lived in Phippsburg but resided in Bath for most of her adult life. She was a hairdresser by trade.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband Eugene Hersom Sr.; brothers Robert York, James York and Wallace York; and a sister, Marie McKenney.

She is survived by two sons; Douglas Alexander and wife Anita, and Robert Alexander and wife Arlene, both of Phippsburg; daughter Lorna Jean Hersom, of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Joseph Alexander, Echo Alexander, of Bath, Shawn Howe, of Phippsburg, Sarah and Kelsey Fitzgerald, of Bath, Andrew and Benjamin Hewitt, and Kaleb Trask, of Bath; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Lexie O’Camb, of Bath; sisters Ilene Perry, of Bath, Carolyn Cromwell, of Gardiner and Edna Loveitt, of Bath; many nieces and nephews; and a very dear neighbor and her daughter, Sherry Stultz and Kelly McKellar, of Bath.

A graveside service was held June 29, at Morningside Cemetery, Phippsburg, with Pastor Dan Coffin officiating.
