BRUNSWICK
One adult was summonsed and one juvenile was arrested on drug and alcohol charges after police stopped a vehicle at 10:40 p.m. July 5 near the BIW Harding plant on Bath Road in Brunswick.
Police had noticed the smell of marijuana emanating from a vehicle they had pulled over for having an expired registration, according to Brunswick Police Capt. Mark Waltz.
A 16-year-old juvenile male from Durham was charged with possession of marijuana, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, possession of tobacco products by a minor, and being a minor in possession of liquor.
The juvenile was also charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a Scheduled W drug, Adderall, and two counts of unlawful possession of a Scheduled Z drug, tramadol.
Adderall is a stimulant containing amphetamine, frequently used for the treatment of attentiondeficit/ hyperactivity disorder. Tramadol is a prescription pain medication.
The driver, Isabelle Wilson, 20, of Bath was charged with possession of marijuana, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, and transporting liquor while underage.
Neither Wilson nor the juvenile had a prescriptions for marijuana, Adderall or tramadol, said Waltz.
Police also found “a homemade bong” whose water had spilled in the vehicle, said Waltz.
