BIDDEFORD — Brian Letellier of Biddeford was recently promoted to the rank of chief warrant officer 4.

Letellier is a 21-year veteran of the United States Army and is currently serving as the operations coordinator for Defense Attaché Office at the American Embassy in Moscow, Russia. He is serving there with his wife, Theresa (Barron) Letellier, and their two daughters, Meckenzie and Bryanna.

Letellier’s previous postings include Ft. Wainwright, Alaska; The Old Guard in Ft. Myer, Virginia; Patch Barracks Stuttgart, Germany; USDAO Conakry, Guinea; USDAO N’djamena, Chad; and USDAO Zagreb, Croatia.

Letellier’s awards include three Defense Meritorious Service Medals, two Joint Commendation Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terror Service and Expeditionary Medals, and the NATO Medal.

Letellier, and his family, will continue serving in Moscow for one more year, then they will return to Washington, D.C., where he plans to be an instructor at the Joint Military Attaché School on Bolling Air Force Base.

Letellier is the son of Priscilla and Gerard G. Letellier Sr. of Biddeford.
