Power has been restored to more than 6,200 customers in Cumberland County who lost electricity for about two hours Friday, according to a Central Maine Power official.

Power went out around 10:30 a.m. in Westbrook, Falmouth, Portland and Windham when a crossarm broke on a transmission line in Yarmouth, said company spokeswoman Gail Rice. The problem was identified using a helicopter that flew over the transmission lines.

The outage primarily affected Westbrook, where about 4,000 customers were without power. Power was fully restored to the area by 12:30 p.m.
