The Sanford Pop Up Science Museum was recently invited to participate with the Sanford Mainers to provide pre-game activities for the children in attendance. The Pop Up crew focused on art activities with face painting and a coloring sheet detailing the science behind baseball. Mainers’ mascot Boomer got in on the fun, and is pictured here painting a flaming baseball on Adam Genereux. The Science Museum is a project of the Sanford Downtown Legacy, and supporters said they were pleased to be part of the baseball game, where Mayor Tom Cote threw out the first pitch. To find out more about the museum and future events with the Sanford Mainers, go to the Sanford Pop Up Science Museum Facebook page.
