Four Downeaster trains will be canceled through Wednesday while workers replace railroad ties in the area around Durham, New Hampshire, the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority said Monday.
The four canceled trains are the 681, 683, 684 and 686.
— The 681 train normally departs from Boston North Station at 9:05 a.m. and arrives in Brunswick at 12:25 p.m.
— The 683 departs from Boston at 11:35 a.m. and arrives in Portland at 2:05 p.m.
— The 684 departs from Portland at 12:45 p.m. and arrives in Boston at 3:15 p.m.
— The 686 departs from Portland at 2:35 p.m. and arrives in Boston at 5:05 p.m.
NNEPRA spokeswoman Patricia Quinn said all lines will be running again as of Thursday. The cancellations are related to ongoing repairs of damage sustained by the track during the harsh winter, she said.
Quinn did not have specific information about future cancellations but said they are possible as repair work continues.
“There may be some additional cancellations here and there,” she said.
