BREWER – Police say a head-on collision on Route 9 in Brewer killed two people and left four others with serious injuries.
WZON-AM reported the accident took place just after 1 p.m. Tuesday west of the Eagle’s Nest restaurant.
Brewer Public Safety Director Perry Antone said a total of six people were involved in the accident. Police said the four injured people are at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Police did not release names of the people involved in the crash.
Route 9 was closed Tuesday afternoon as police work the scene.
