PORTLAND — Unseeded Devin Van Dyke of Casco captured the men’s open singles title Sunday at the 2014 MTA Championships Tennis Tournament.
Van Dyke won by walkover, when top seeded Pat Ordway of Falmouth withdrew from the final with an injury sustained in the championship doubles match.

In an all-Portland based matchup, Deering High School girls tennis coach Stephanie Doane defeated Marcy Weeks, 6-2, 6-1 to win the women’s open title.
Both Doane and Weeks survived grueling three-set semifinal matches to gain spots in the final.
