TOPSHAM — Auburn Suburban beat Lewiston 13-7 Sunday to win the Babe Ruth Area 2 15U Play-In Tournament.

Auburn moves on to state action in Augusta on July 18- 20.

In the Auburn attack, Austin Cox had three singles and C.J. Jipson and Gavin Bates two singles each.

Tyler Blanchard and Jipson pitched and combined on three walks and four strikeouts.

In the Lewiston effort, Luke Dostie had two singles and Grant Hartley a triple.

Lewiston 6-1

In the opener at Kingdon Field, Lewiston toppled Coastal South (Bath- Brunswick).

In the Coastal South effort, Zach Larrabee singled and doubled and Riley Lamarre, Joey Doherty, Nick Doughty, Taylor Shaw and Nelson Gay each singled.

Ricky Warren and Doughty combined on four strikeouts and a like number of walks.

Auburn 11-1

In Game Two, Auburn toppled Coastal North (SAD 75, Lisbon).

Bates had three singles and Cox a double, while Jipson hurled a one-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks.

Nick Larette singled for CN and Noah Francis went the distance with six walks and four strikeouts.

Auburn 13-7

In winner’s bracket action, Auburn got past Lewiston with a 14-hit effort.

Jarod Plourde led with three singles and double, while Bates had a double and two singles. Dostie had two singles and Hartley a double for Lewiston.

Coastal North 10-4

Coastal North eliminated Coastal South as Ryley Austin went the distance with a walk and four strikeouts.

In the CN effort, Tyler Halls singled and doubled, Wyatt Card had two singles, Francis a double and two singles and Austin, Nate Havlicek, Kevin Giroux and Bryant Hall a single each.

Doughty, Doherty, Tait Nygaard (double), Gay and Shaw had hits for CS, while Doherty and Doughty combined on four walks and four strikeouts.

Lewiston 10-5

Lewiston eliminated Coastal North with 10 hits, including two singles each by Dostie, Colby Bilodeau and Dalton Wing.

Hartley, Kegan Voss and Jared Rubin had five strikeouts and five walks.

In the CN offense, Halls singled and tripled, and Francis singled and doubled, while Havlicek had two singles and Card, Austin and Larette a single each.

Chandler Hartigan, Austin and Francis took turns on the mound with six walks and eight strikeouts.
