KENNEBUNK — Laurie Ann Goodwin, 46, a resident of Alfred Road in West Kennebunk, died suddenly Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Kennebunk.
Laurie was born Jan. 5, 1968 in Biddeford, the daughter of Roger Goodwin and Violet Bedard Goodwin.
She is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, Class of 1986, and attended Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in South Portland, where she earned a degree in culinary arts.
She worked as a cook in several local establishments, including the Shawmut Inn, Boat House Restaurant and Garden Street Market.
Survivors include: her father and stepmother, Roger and Kathy Goodwin of West Kennebunk; mother, Violet Merrill of Arundel; two sons, Ryan Michaud of Arundel and Darren Goodwin of Biddeford; a sister, Tracy Goodwin of Middleton, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Dorothy Stevens Center, Thompson Road, West Kennebunk. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, West Kennebunk. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330, in Laurie’s memory.
